Habit?
I have a habit. I’m sure I’ve stated it before. Actually, I think I’ve stated a few habits before. But, this time, I’m speaking specifically about my spending habits. More specifically, I purchase a lot of books. And now, I’m venturing off into audiobooks, thinking that I may just get through all of them if I listen to them throughout my day versus finding time to sit and read. So, in my efforts to save money, I joined a few book clubs today. The most interesting of them was Booksfree.com. I say interesting because I’m renting the books, instead of purchasing them, reading, and then placing them in my bookshelf to collect dust. It’s like Netflix, except with books. They have a huge selection, but they didn’t carry a lot of the books that I read. That may be a sign that I need to broaden my horizons…hmmm! Anyway, they carry audiobooks as well as regular books. It may be my lack of patience this late in the day, but I didn’t find the site navigation dummy proof. Since I do most of my surfing and purchasing late in the evening, I need all sites to be as dummy proof as possible. My first order consisted of Sidney Poitier’s, A Measure of A Man, and a book by Donna Hill, the title of which I’m not too sure of at the moment. I placed the Donna Hill book on the list because I had to create a “list”. I didn’t really want it, but I couldn’t find anything else that I didn’t already have. Once I see how the whole process works, I’ll go into the audiobook section. I think the site said that it sends out the books within 48 hours. So, I’ll give you all an update once the books come in!
