10 Commandments

Do you know what the 10 Commandments are? I must say, I am a born again Christian, and I still had issues with listing all of the original 10 Commandments. It's nothing to be ashamed of...at least I don't think so. I never claimed to know The Bible inside and out, but I did make a commitment to continue learning and living by the word.
Here's a question...Did you know that fornication isn't listed as one of the original 10 Commandments, found in the Old Testament, Exodus chapter 20? No, that doesn't mean that you can go out and do it...I'm just sayin'...if someone asks you, don't say that it's in there, because it's not. You know what, I'll do one better for you...I'll list them...

"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God…

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'

SIX: 'You shall not murder.'

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'

The reason for this post was I had met up with an old high school classmate while I was in Atlanta. We were in Airforce R.O.T.C. together. I used to sit in back of him. He was way cool, and had the best sense of humor. Come to find out, he's the same now as he was then. Except, I had no clue that his father was/is a pastor...which lead to a conversation on religion. I have to admit, I had no idea that we could have such a cool conversation surrounding God, and religion itself...but I had a GREAT TIME! I learned a lot about him and myself. So...thanks!
