Talk Shows

I've been able to watch tv lately. Oddly enough, two of the talk shows that I make sure I catch is Oprah and Dr. Phil. Not for them in particular. But, more for the topics that they've been having...VERY INTERESTING!
Yesterday, I caught Dr. Phil, and the topic was "Suing for Love". I didn't really understand how a person could "sue for love", so, I tuned in. It was a really good episode. What I learned...some states have some rather odd/stupid laws. Someone should really look into all of the state laws and make some SERIOUS EDITS.
For example....
A man was married, told a woman that he was legally separated, and wanted to date her. Any woman, if attracted to the man, would say ok. So, she agreed. Later, he told her that he wasn't, in fact, separated, and wanted to make his marriage work. She was upset...understandably so! She was the "mistress"...he lied!
Moving forward, now the man is in the middle of a divorce, the "mistress" got back with her husband, she was legally separated, and now the wife is suing the woman for "Alienation of Affection". WHAT?!?!? In other words, she is suing the "mistress" for stealing her husbands heart. She was suing the woman for $500,000! That has to be one of the craziest things I've heard of!
