Another Friday the 13th
People think I'm crazy because I hate doing anything outside of my bed on Friday the 13th. Call it superstition, paranoia, or any other adjective that you can think of, I STAY HOME EVERY FRIDAY THE 13TH. Even when I was working fulltime, I would call in sick on that day. Maybe it's a specific C-O-N-SPIRACY against Amber, but I always have THE worst luck on this particular day. But, I never thought that it could get in my house...
Today, my bad luck started at around 3am...yes, I was still awake, talking with my sis, JoJo, and sending text messages...when the scroll button on my Blackberry caved in, and promptly deleted all of my text messages and emails from my phone.
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME??!!?!?!
I didn't fall asleep until 7:30am because I was pissed. And then I woke up at 10:30...still pissed.
The fact that I had to leave the house to go to the Tmobile store made me even more pissed. I didn't go until 3pm because I was hoping I could just deal with the problem. I made my best attempts to convince myself that it wasn't as bad as I was making it out to be. IT REALLY WAS WORSE! So, I showered, got dressed, and walked into the hood to the Tmobile store. I get there and wait patiently. The employees were nice enough, but there were these kids actin' a fool in the store. I ignored them and didn't hit any of them...YAY ME! I was told that I had to call customer service and get an exchange for the phone because there was nothing they could do in the store. I get home and call customer service and they tell me that it's not what the store said, it's a software issue and I had to update and reload the software applications from my computer. WHAT?!?!?!?
AWWWW, HELL TO THA NAW!!! I told them I refused to do it...I said that the guy needed to call the store and speak to the people because I didn't posses the patience it would take to load and troubleshoot any phone. HELL, I AIN'T GETTIN PAID FOR THIS MESS!
Needless to say, while trying to three way from my home phone, customer service hung up on me. So, I called the store and told them I was on my way back to the store, and someone needed to be available for me. They didn't like what I said, but when I got there, I had someone there waiting for me to walk through the door. I brought my mother with me, just in case I had to wild out...she'd be there to make small attempts to calm me down. Or, at least keep me from ending up in shiny silver bracelets and cornrows.
End result...New Blackberry will be delivered to my house by Wednesday! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!!!
***Side note...this will be my third Blackberry within 9 months...it's not me, it's them!
