Gifts

I was invited to attend a Catholic baptism in a few weeks. However, can anyone tell me what an appropriate gift to give would be? Since it’s a Catholic baptism it’s a Catholic baptism, I’m thinking the traditional catholic gifts would be appropriate. I’m thinking jewelry or the normal card with money inside of it. But, do you ever you ever do anything out of the ordinary for these occasions? Is it just that cut and dry? Am I making this more difficult than it really should be?

Wow. My ex is Catholic. We dated for five years and I didn't take a gift to his niece's or nephew's baptisms. Is a gift customary for this event? If so, I surely didn't know.

Yup, normally it's monetary gifts. However, for baby girls I normally give jewelry..but that may be because my family is Catholic & Spanish...which means you receive gifts at any/all celebrations.
