Oh the Blessings!!!

I AM BLESSED & HIGHLY FAVORED!!!

This past week I was fortunate enough to get back in touch with my high school best friend, Shawnte.
We've spent the last few days catching up, it's been GREAT!! I really missed her.
And, we've both changed so much. But, with all of the trials and tribulations that we've both endured, not only did we come back full circle to be friends again, but each situation has lead us to having a closer and deeper relationship with God.
Shawnte, I thank you so much for taking the rather large chance on reaching out to me!! We both know how I can be, but know that it has always been out of concern and love!! Now that we are adults, I'm sure it'll be easier to have discussions rather than running away from our issues.
Over the years I have aquired some new best friends, and kept an old one...while they could never be replaced, there is ALWAYS room for you.
Hopefully you'll be able to come up north sometime soon and meet my Natasha, my Jarice, Ocean, Ed, and you already know Al(btw..he says hello). I know you never met JoJo, but maybe we could all meet up in Atl for Ashley's baby shower..hmmmmm, we'll see!!! :)

I'll leave you all with a verse from The Bible that Shawnte says inspires her...and after reading, it is now an inspiration to me as well...

7)But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8)What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9)and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. 10)I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11)and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

12)Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13)Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14)I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:7-14 (NIV)
