Old Enough

I'm old enough....

Old enough to know right from wrong,
To know wrong from right,
Old enough to stay up late at night,
Old enough to make you aware that if you hurt me,
There will be a fight.

I'm old enough....

Old enough to drive a car,
Old enough to buy drinks,
Old enough to pay bills,
Since I'm doing all of this,
Why should I care what anyone else thinks?

I'm old enough....

Old enough to not have my wants hurt,
Old enough to understand,
Understand that just because I love,
It doesn't mean that I am loved.
Old enough to lay next to you naked and not have sex,
Old enough to control my lust and just be held,
Old enough to know the difference between lust and love.

I'm old enough.....

With all of this being said,
I'm also old enough to have responsibilities,
Old enough to be aware of all of my emotions,
Old enough to know when I am being used,
disrespected, and mistreated,
Old enough to know when my exit is near,
Or here,
Old enough to see,
At this point in YOUR LIFE.....YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!
